is a collection of watercolors by two Englishmen. Kelly was a professional painter who stayed in Burma for seven months to collect information for his book 'Burma, painted and described'. Swinhoe was a lawyer and hobby painter who spent most of his life in Burma.
Kelly mostly painted scenes from everyday life, pagodas, and nature. Especially Burma's jungles and rivers seem to have fascinated him, while he portrayed people less often.
Swinhoe, who possessed a profound knowledge of Burma's people and spoke the Burmese language, was fascinated by the country's numerous hill tribes and devoted considerable attention to this topic.
